Anzac Day March

Start: 9:00am - Tuesday, April 25th, 2017
End: 12:30pm - Tuesday, April 25th, 2017

Anzac Day is a time for the community to come together and pay tribute to the first Anzacs and all the brave servicemen and women who have followed in the footsteps. This year Sydney's traditional Anzac Day March through the CBD will for the first time run down Elizabeth Street, leading those who take part directly to the Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park.

The March will commence at 9am at Martin Place and Elizabeth Street. Participants will march south along Elizabeth Street. They will observe the Act of Remembrance on the command “eyes left” as marchers pass the Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park, then wheel left into Liverpool Street for dispersal. This route will allow the March to continue as a solemn March of Remembrance while also allowing for the growing crowds.
