Circular 21/22 Discussion Paper – Charitable Purpose

RSL NSW issued a draft Discussion Paper on 25 March to the District Presidents’ Council (DPC) regarding proposed changes to SOP 1 – Charitable Activities, Donations and Charitable Purpose Contribution.

The purpose of the Discussion Paper is to seek feedback from all sub-Branches about what is appropriate charitable funds expenditure and the application of monies to the charitable purpose, which will inform the development of the RSL NSW Charitable Purpose Policy and associated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

All members are encouraged to consider the Discussion Paper and continue to provide constructive feedback on the content and, where possible, suggest alternatives or solutions to what is outlined in the Paper. If you have not received a copy of the Paper from your District President, please click here.

RSL NSW is committed to seeking input from members to inform policies and procedures and all feedback will be considered by the CEO before recommendations are presented to the Board. Please note no decision on further developing and implementing a policy will be taken until all feedback has been reviewed by the Board.

Please consolidate your feedback and send it to your District President on or before 15 July. This will allow your District Council President time to collate feedback for the District Presidents’ Council which will present state-wide feedback to the RSL NSW CEO on 22 July.

Alternatively, please provide feedback directly to the State Secretary via support@rslnsw.org.au
