Circular 22/21 Resignation of Board Director Clinton Grose

Clinton Grose, who was elected as a Director of RSL NSW, has resigned from the Board, effective from 21 July 2021.

Mr Grose acknowledged the difficulty he had making the decision after so many members had supported his candidacy for the Board but advised that his full-time CEO work commitments, and his commitments to his young family have made it very difficult for him to find the time needed to fulfill his director responsibilities to a level he would like to.

The Chair of the Board, Sophie Ray, and President Ray James thanked Mr Grose on behalf of the Board and all members for his significant and committed contribution to the future of the RSL in NSW. They highlighted his contributions to matters involving veteran policy and advocacy and noted that he is a fervent advocate to improve the support available to our veteran community and their families. He was appointed as the representative for NSW on the National Veterans Advisory Committee.

As the Board is currently undertaking a process to fill the casual vacancy created by the earlier resignation of Greg Read and has received a significant number of high calibre applications, the Board will fill subject to agreement at the next Board meeting, the new vacancy created by Mr Grose’s resignation at the same time.
