Circular 39/22 Congress and AGM Registration Reminder

Please note that registrations for the Annual State Congress and AGM 2022 close on Friday, 7 October 2022. Congress and the AGM will take place at NEX, Newcastle Exhibition and Convention Centre (309 King Street Newcastle West) on Monday 31 October and Tuesday 1 November 2022.

There are three options to attend the Annual State Congress and AGM this year:

  1. sub-Branch or District Council delegate and alternate delegate in-person attendance
  2. sub-Branch or District Council delegate and alternate delegate virtual (online) attendance
  3. Nominate a proxy to attend in person or virtually (online)

Please note that if you have a delegate and alternate delegate, they must both be registered to attend together, i.e. both in-person or both virtual (online).

How to register to attend in-person:

All Honorary Secretaries are required to complete an online registration form for their Delegate and Alternate Delegate attending in person.

How to register to attend virtually:

All Honorary Secretaries are required to complete an online registration form for their Delegate and Alternate Delegate attending virtually.

Details for how to attend the events in a virtual capacity will be sent directly to the Delegate or Alternate Delegate’s personal email address.

Proxy Voting

Nominated sub-Branch Delegates who cannot attend Congress and the AGM may appoint the Chair or a Director of the RSL NSW Board, or their sub-Branch District Council Delegate as a proxy to vote on their behalf in accordance with clause 15.52 and Appendix C of the RSL NSW Constitution.

Attendance Requirements

All sub-Branches must comply with Clause 15.39 of the Constitution in order for a Delegate and Alternate Delegate attend Congress and vote at the AGM. This means all sub-Branches must have submitted its SBA and paid any outstanding invoices to RSL NSW, noting outstanding fees include capitation fees from 2021 and diary orders. Any sub-Branch that is not compliant and registers a Delegate or Alternate Delegate will be contacted by ANZAC House and will have until 7 October to fulfill its obligations.
