This session will take place on Thursday 20 September from 10.30am – 1.00pm. If you’d like to attend, please send your expression of interest to invitations@rslnsw.org.au
More Sydney metropolitan sessions are currently being organised. Dates and venues for these sessions will be released as soon as they are available.

Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Education Project
For information and circulation to sub-Branch members
We received the following question in response to our recent Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Education Project communications in the last two State Secretary Newsletters:
Q: Are sub-branches are able to make donations to schools attending the Invictus Games?
The Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Education project is providing NSW schools with high quality curriculum materials linked to the Invictus Games Department of Education. Across NSW school children will be learning the importance of service and about the people who have served and continue to serve.
In conjunction with the schools, the RSL NSW programme furthers our objective to respect, support and remember veterans and their families. While traditionally RSL NSW commemorative events are more historically focussed and formal, Invictus introduces a different take on commemoration.
Because of this, any support provided to schools around Invictus is classified as commemorative. This wasn’t clear in our initial communication, so we hope this information now provides clarity.
To date the following schools have approached RSL NSW seeking support. Please note, schools will happily accept any amount that a sub-Branch is able to provide, to contribute to the total amount.
- Wiley Park Primary School – $700 for bus for 30 children
- Peats Ridge – $500 for bus for 16 children
- York Public School – Ticket cost for 40 children $2K Bus $1K
