Circular 21/24 ANZAC Day national campaign

To assist sub-Branches with the promotion of ANZAC Day in local communities, ANZAC House has curated a range of digital and print promotional material, which can be downloaded from the sub-Branch Portal via Commemorations, Ceremonies and Events > ANZAC Day 2024.

Reflecting this year’s national RSL ANZAC Appeal and ‘That’s the ANZAC spirit’ campaigns, the material includes flyers that can be updated with local commemoration details, digital assets, and social media tiles.

The RSL Australia ‘That’s the ANZAC Spirit’ website also has a range of videos and stories that you may also wish to use on your social media channels.

ANZAC Day commemorations

Thank you to sub-Branches who have already registered their local ANZAC Day commemorations on the RSL NSW website. Registering your events helps people in your communities to access local commemorative event information and to plan their attendance.

If you haven’t yet done so, please add your local commemorations and reunions and the details of your ANZAC Sunday, Dawn Service, and March events by completing the online form.

Fundraising

A reminder that a selection of new tokens is now available for purchase from the RSL NSW supplier. These include rosemary pins, poppies, and pens.

A limited number of free tokens, formerly owned by Welfare and Benevolent Institution (WBI), are still available to sub-Branches and can be ordered online. Any sub-Branch that places an order will be required to pay a small packing ($0.25 cents per token) and freight charge, however there is no charge for the tokens. Please note that these tokens will have outdated WBI details on the reverse side of the backing cards. The sub-Branch must cover these details before fundraising in the local community.

Please visit the Fundraising page on the RSL NSW website for instructions on creating an account and placing an order.

Reveille submissions

Please refer to this quick reference guide to understand the type of stories and news that are needed for the Reveille, the RSL NSW website, and social media channels. If you think you have a good story to tell involving your sub-Branch, Auxiliary, or Day Club, please email news@rslnsw.org.au before the end of each March, June, September, and December. The exception to this timing is the submission of high-resolution images of ANZAC Day commemorations, which must be submitted by 2 May to meet print deadlines.

Please note that ANZAC House receives many Reveille submissions, and space limitations in the quarterly magazine mean that only a proportion of submissions can be included.
