Circular 22/24 New Volunteer Manager at RSL NSW 

The team at ANZAC House includes various roles that work together to provide support and services to sub-Branches, RSL NSW members and the wider veteran community.

ANZAC House has recently welcomed a Volunteer Manager to oversee the support, development and recognition of RSL NSW volunteers. Sub-Branches may be contacted by the Volunteer Manager in the coming months as she gathers important information regarding current volunteer participation.

To support the work our volunteers do in sub-Branches, the team at ANZAC House also includes:

  • Member Support Team: Your first point of call via telephone or email for all RSL NSW enquiries and membership applications. Member Support will either assist directly or assign your issue to the relevant individual or team within the organisation.
  • Sub-Branch Advisory Manager: Liaises with sub-Branches to provide essential support around compliance, governance and reporting requirements.
  • RSL NSW Liaison Officer at NCVH: Helps identify and connect veterans in need of services to the National Centre for Veterans’ Healthcare and ensures they leave connected to their local sub-Branch and community support.
  • Sport & Recreation Program Coordinator: Assists sub-Branches to create a grassroots social connection and wellbeing program relevant to their members and the wider veteran and family community with resources, funding and one-on-one support.
  • Project Management Office: A team tasked with delivering initiatives of the RSL NSW Strategic Plan 2021 – 2026 and advocating in the veterans’ policy space on behalf of members, veterans and their families.
  • Finance Team: Works to provide support around financial management, reporting and grant applications, management of the Veteran Support Fund and Support & Assistance Fund, and ongoing improvement of RSL NSW’s systems, processes, and policies.
  • Communications Specialists: Keeps sub-Branches and members informed via circulars, Reveille, email newsletters and social media, and helps to raise the profile of RSL NSW in the wider community.
  • General Counsel: Can provide sub-Branches with legal support regarding trust deeds, property transactions and sub-Branch incorporation.
