How RSL LifeCare Veteran Services is responding to veterans’ needs

A snapshot of the financial assistance and claims support provided by RSL LifeCare Veteran Services so far this year.

RSL NSW’s partner charity RSL LifeCare Veteran Services provides free advocacy, claims and appeals support and a range of other services to current serving and ex-serving members of the ADF.

Increased awareness throughout the RSL NSW network about the support and services provided by RSL LifeCare Veteran Services has meant that, in the first quarter of 2023, hundreds of veterans and their families benefited from the charity’s support, with demand for services having increased considerably from the same period last year.

RSL NSW is committed to working with RSL LifeCare Veteran Services to continue delivering valuable support and services to veterans and their families wherever they live in the state. Teams of volunteers at RSL sub-Branches form connecting spokes to the central hub of RSL LifeCare Veteran Services. But the continuation of those services is reliant on financial support from RSL sub-Branches.

In the past two years, RSL NSW has donated a total of $5.2 million dollars to RSL LifeCare Veteran Services, which incorporates substantial financial contributions made by RSL sub-Branches. A further donation is expected later in 2023.

Here’s a snapshot of the support provided so far this year.
