Circular 26/21 Registration for RSL NSW State Congress and AGM 2021

Online registration for the RSL NSW State Congress and AGM 2021 is now open on this page of the RSL NSW website. The events are scheduled to take place at Newcastle Exhibition and Convention Centre (NEX) on Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 December. The deadline to register to attend is Friday 26 November 2021.

As noted in Circular 25/21, the venue’s usual capacity can accommodate the meeting in full, however considering NSW Government regulations, the four square metre rule per person heavily impacts the event capacity. Therefore, the meeting will only be open to eligible delegates with no allowance for alternate delegates or observers. There are two types of delegates:

  • Sub-Branch delegate with voting rights – to register please click on this link
  • District Council delegate with no voting rights – to register please click on this link

To complete the registration form you will need the delegate’s member number, email, mobile number, emergency contact and dietary requirements. If you require further assistance with your online registration, please contact the Member Support Team on support@rslnsw.org.au or 1300 679 775.

All email correspondence relating to Congress and the AGM will be sent to the RSL NSW sub-Branch or District Council email address.

Sub-Branch Delegates who have been nominated by members to attend the Congress and AGM and cannot attend may appoint the Chair, a Director, or their District Council Delegate as a proxy to vote on their behalf in accordance with clause 15.52 and Appendix C of the RSL NSW Constitution. You can find out more information on how you nominate a proxy here.

The full agenda for Congress and AGM will be included with the Notice of Meeting which will be issued on 8 November 2021.

I encourage all sub-Branch Honorary Secretaries and delegates to regularly visit the Congress page on the RSL NSW website to access up-to-date information about the Congress and the AGM.

Please note that the Congress and AGM may be postponed or cancelled at any stage due to COVID-19 regulations and I will ensure that information will be shared with all District Councils and sub-Branches as the situation unfolds.
